“It’s an act of bravery to feel your feelings.” -Gayle Forman

Hello there! I’m so happy you are reading this and made it onto the Country Crossroads Counseling website. I believe everyone has a story that deserves to be heard. Whether is is for you or your child, it takes a lot of courage to ask for help, but here you are reading this and that is something to be proud of.

I grew up in a small town in Southwest Iowa, but moved to the Central Missouri area in 2021. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with my BS in elementary education. A few years later, I went back to obtain my MSEd in school counseling. I currently work as a school counselor and am completing my PLPC supervision hours on the side. My passion is teens, relationship anxiety, understanding why we have the thoughts and feelings we do, and life coaching.

Aside from counseling, I love to spend my time with my dogs (Mollie and Lily),, be at the lake and boating with my husband Gavin, visit family back home in Iowa, try new restaurants, read personal development books, and travel.

Sometimes in the midst of life, we have certain thoughts and feelings that come up. I believe learning how our brain creates certain thoughts and feelings that come up for us in our life, is the biggest investment you can make. In fact, our thoughts are not facts. We can work together to create that confidence in knowing how our brain processes and manages thoughts and fears that come up. To create the life we want, we have to ask for help along the way. There is absolute nothing wrong with you. There are patterns in our thoughts and feelings. We have to take the time to process and heal and you are in the right place for that. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy technique to help guide our therapeutic process.
