"We can begin the process of healing when we are
acknowledged and heard by others"
"Hi there, I am Megan Moss, and I am so glad you have taken the time to read a little about the amazing counselors and me at Country Crossroads Counseling.
I grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma, and have roots in small town Powell, Wyoming. I recently relocated to the KC area and stumbled upon Country Crossroads Counseling, just as you have!
I graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2018 with my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science with an emphasis in Child and Family Services. After graduating, I started my master's degree in School Counseling and switched to Clinical and Mental Health Counseling halfway through my degree. Through my school counseling education, I desired a more individualized and personal approach to therapy. I have been completing my graduate internship with Country Crossroads Counseling and will be obtaining my master's degree and PLPC licensure in October 2022.
Seeking counseling for yourself or your child can feel extremely vulnerable, and I am here to help you by working alongside you as you seek change in your life. As a therapist, I believe that we can begin the process of healing when we are acknowledged and heard by others. My goal is to provide compassionate and empathic support and direction to individuals as they navigate change and any trauma they are experiencing.
I am passionate about helping children, teenagers, young adults, and older adults create connections in their lives, grow their confidence in themselves, and process their experiences at a comfortable pace.
My theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with Solution-Focused Therapy. I will always strive to make your counseling experience comfortable, supportive, and caring as I walk alongside you on your journey to find mental, physical, and spiritual healing.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, riding horses, spending weekends on the lake, working out, and anything true-crime related. I am a wife and a new mother to a sweet baby boy. One of my favorite things is building relationships with others. I value whole-body wellness and strive to care for myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. I would love to help you in your journey of this crazy but beautiful life!
