I understand that each person has a unique narrative that needs to be heard in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment.

Hello! I'm Amber May Myers, originally from the vibrant hills of Eastern Kentucky and now deeply rooted in the serene landscapes of Missouri farmland. As an MSW intern at Country Crossroads Counseling and a dedicated student at the University of Kentucky, I'm passionately pursuing a Master's in Social Work with the goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My unwavering commitment to fostering growth and resilience in individuals, regardless of their background, fuels my passion for this field. Joining me on this journey is Gracie May, my therapy dog-in-training, and we look forward to meeting you at CCC soon, inspiring a sense of hope and possibility in your journey.

At the heart of my counseling approach is the belief in the power of storytelling. I understand that each person has a unique narrative and deserves to be heard in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients can express themselves freely, learn strategies to manage daily stresses, and find ways to overcome the challenges that prevent them from achieving the lifestyle they seek.

I utilize a Person-Centered approach complemented by a strengths-based method, ensuring that therapy is tailored to each individual’s unique needs and strengths. I am also a strong proponent of Somatic Body Techniques and Humanistic Theories, which emphasize the importance of being present in the body and in the moment and striving toward realizing one's full potential.

Living on a small hobby farm with my husband, our three beloved dogs (Aries, Bailey, and Gracie May), and a lively flock of 25 chickens, my connection to nature and animals profoundly influences my professional interests. This connection drives my enthusiasm for integrating animal-assisted therapy techniques into my practice, enriching the therapeutic experience for my clients.

Specializing in working with clients grappling with ADHD, I aim to create an empathetic and supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered on their journey toward self-discovery and personal empowerment.

In my personal life, I am on a continuous journey of healing and growth. This personal dedication not only enhances my professional practice but also allows me to merge my expertise with my lived experiences and passions. This, in turn, enriches the therapeutic experiences of my clients at Country Crossroads Counseling, making them feel more connected and understood.

I am thrilled to bring my unique blend of professional expertise, personal experiences, and heartfelt dedication to the rural communities I serve. Together, we can navigate the challenges and celebrate the triumphs on your path to a fulfilling and balanced life, instilling a sense of reassurance and confidence in your journey.
