Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.

Hi, my name is Katie Nash. Thank you for taking the time to visit the Country Crossroads Counseling website; I’m glad you are here!
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies from Northwest Missouri State University. In 2019, I received my Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Social Work. Since then, I have obtained my clinical licensure and continue to grow in my clinical practice.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals ages 18 and older experiencing chronic mental health challenges in an inpatient behavioral health setting. I have also worked with women, children, and men who are survivors of domestic violence along with
other forms of trauma. In addition, I have experience working with children in a school setting in the grade’s Pre-K through 5 th grade.
I believe each individual has a voice that deserves to be heard and that you are the expert of your own life. My approach to therapy is collaborative, working together to create meaningful goals and improve overall quality of life. I practice from a strengths-based perspective and strive to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment.
My theory approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. These approaches help individuals better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also building practical skills to create positive, realistic, lasting change. I practice primarily as a generalist and enjoy supporting clients of all ages and backgrounds.
I am also trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps individuals process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. It uses bilateral stimulation to support the brain in reprocessing memories so they feel less overwhelming and disruptive. EMDR can help reduce symptoms of anxiety, trauma, and negative self-beliefs, allowing individuals to move forward with greater clarity, emotional balance, and resilience.
Outside of my professional work, I am a wife and a mother who enjoys spending time with family and friends. I love traveling, exploring new places, trying new things, and experiencing different cultures. I am also a licensed skydiver and enjoy jumping in new places when I have the opportunity!
By being here, you’ve already taken an important first step toward support and healing for you! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I would be honored to support you as you move forward in your journey!
