Sydney Scholl

Hello! My name is Sydney Scholl. I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about me and visiting the Country Crossroads Counseling website.

I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) with a passion for supporting individuals across the lifespan. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri in 2023 and completed my Master’s degree in Counseling from Ottawa University in August 2025.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and collaborative, drawing from person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Dialectical
Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. I strive to meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their unique strengths, needs, and goals.

I have experience working with diverse populations and presenting concerns, including anxiety, stress, depression, emotion regulation, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I also incorporate play therapy techniques when working with children. I primarily work with children of all ages, adolescents, and adults.

I believe counseling offers a supportive space to feel heard, gain insight, and build practical coping skills that can improve emotional well-being, relationships, and daily functioning. Through therapy, clients can develop greater self-awareness, confidence, and resilience while learning tools to navigate challenges more effectively.

Outside of counseling, I value self-care and believe in practicing the same balance and coping skills I encourage in my clients. I enjoy playing soccer with friends a few days a week, hanging
out with family/friends, and playing with my dogs Stella and Macy and my cats Archie and Molly.

In my downtime, I enjoy watching my favorite teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Current, playing games, going on walks, and listening to podcasts.

Thank you again for considering us for your counseling services. By coming here, you are taking the first steps in seeking support for yourself. Feel free to contact us for any questions or any therapeutic needs!
