Country Crossroads Counseling
A little bit about Allison Baker. . .

Allison Baker
Hi! My name is Allison Baker, I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), and I am so glad you are here! Taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming, and life often brings challenges we never expected. You do not have to navigate those challenges alone. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered as you work toward growth and healing.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Central Missouri, my Master of Education in Mental Health Practices in Schools from the University of Missouri, and my Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University. I am honored to continue serving individuals and families as a PLPC.

As a former kindergarten teacher, I developed a deep passion for supporting children and families through life's ups and downs. I believe that every person deserves a place where they can show up exactly as they are without judgment. I strive to bring positivity, genuineness, and open-mindedness into the counseling room while building a strong therapeutic relationship with each client.

My counseling approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, child-centered play therapy, and trauma-focused practices. I believe in meeting clients where they are, recognizing their unique strengths, and helping them navigate challenges in a way that feels meaningful and authentic to them.

I grew up in Wellington, Missouri, and my small-town roots have given me a deep appreciation for community, connection, and increasing access to mental health support in rural areas. I am passionate about helping make mental health care feel approachable and accessible for everyone.

When I am not in the counseling office, you can usually find me planning my upcoming wedding, spending time with my cats Boots and Nugget, reading a good book, listening to podcasts, singing karaoke, or planning my next travel adventure.
Seeking support takes courage, and I am so glad you are here. I look forward to connecting with you through Country Crossroads Counseling and being part of your journey toward healing and growth.
