"I’m honored to be part of your journey and look forward to the opportunity to working with you!

Welcome to Country Crossroads Counseling, and thank you for visiting our website. My name is Erika Miller, and I’m happy to share a bit about myself and my journey as a counselor.

I began my professional path with a bachelor’s degree in education, which led me to teaching. However, early on, I discovered that my true passion lay in supporting my students beyond academics. This realization inspired me to pursue a master’s degree in counseling from Missouri State University, and for over 15 years, I have been dedicated to helping middle and high school students thrive. My career as a school counselor has been incredibly rewarding, and it has given me valuable experience in understanding and addressing a wide range of needs for young people and their families.

My family and I have called the Kansas City area home since 2008. I am grateful for my husband, our four children, and our two German Shorthaired Pointers who fill our lives with energy and love.

A few years ago, I felt the desire to expand my skills and impact as a counselor, so I began working toward my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) designation. Currently, I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and expect to be fully licensed by 2025. Working part-time with Country Crossroads Counseling has been a wonderful opportunity to connect with clients in a unique way, helping individuals of all ages and couples through a variety of challenges.

My counseling approach is solution-focused and rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which allows me to support clients in finding practical, meaningful solutions to their challenges. I’m honored to be part of your journey and look forward to the opportunity to working with you. Thank you for considering Country Crossroads Counseling as a resource for support and growth.
