“It’s an act of bravery to feel your feelings.” -Gayle Forman

Hello there! I’m so happy you are reading this and made it onto the Country Crossroads Counseling website. I believe everyone has a story that deserves to be heard. Whether it is for you or your child, it takes a lot of courage to ask for help, but here you are reading this and that is something to be proud of.

I grew up in a small town in Southwest Iowa, but moved to the Central Missouri area in 2021. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with my BS in elementary education. A few years later, I went back to obtain my MSEd in school counseling. I have experience working with all ages through being a teacher, school counselor, and now a Licensed Professional Counselor. My days are spent traveling around Central Missouri and meeting with many school based therapy students in area schools and working with adults and children at the Warrensburg office location or via telehealth.

When I am not counseling, I love to be active outside by enjoying a walk with our two labs, Mollie and Lily, be on the lake boating with my husband at the Ozarks, visit family back home in Iowa, travel, and try new restaurants.

I love connecting with parents, adults, teens, and children. I am to provide a place where you feel safe to open up and be vulnerable. I love to partner with you to help navigate certain thoughts and behaviors you recognize while embracing your strengths. I am a believer that you are the expert of your own life and we are all human. It's okay to not be okay, but the best thing we can do for ourselves (and children) is to show up, be vulnerable, willing to learn, and embrace that hard to become the best versions of ourselves. You deserve it! I use solution-focused, person centered, and cognitive behavior therapy techniques while working together to achieve that.
